HEATING | PLUMBING | RENEWABLES | AIR CON
As you may have noticed, we've been trying to keep you updated with our upcoming & recent projects.. Take a look at this months work below!
Wat Tyler West, Swindon
The heating system at Wat Tyler West, Swindon, consisted of a life expired Ideal heat only modular boiler, which were supply low temperature hot water (LTHW) to the offices pictured.

The work undertaken has consisted of replacing the existing life expired modular boilers together with reconfiguration of the pipe work system to improve water circulation and overall performance of the heating system.

The new boilers installed are 3no Ideal Evomax 150kw frame mounted, gas fired, fully modulating condensing boilers. The boiler then connects onto a low loss header serving a plate heat exchanger before reconnecting onto the existing 3” flow and return pipework.

The new flue was installed by Complete Flue Solutions in Cheltenham. Due to the extent of the flue installation and the height required a specialist scaffold was required to access the external terminal. Thank you to Brunel Scaffolding in Swindon who carried out the installation of scaffold, required for the external works.

Work involved replacing the old pressurisation unit for a new Mikrofill EFD pressurisation unit, along with installing new expansion vessels onto the system.
The existing boiler control system has been replaced, with the new boilers working off a sequencer controller, so the boilers work in sync and modulate.

Upgrading of the gas safety device was carried out to comply with building regulations.

Upon completion of the system all pipework was lagged with foil face lagging and the plantroom flooring was painted as requested by the client.

Overall this was a very successful contract that was completed with minimal downtime to the client
